Debra Sokol-McKay is an occupational therapist (OT) licensed in the state of Pennsylvania who has been practicing for 35 years. She has worked in the fields of mental health, physical disabilities, vision loss, and diabetes.
She is also a vision rehabilitation therapist, low vision therapist, and retired certified diabetes educator. She serves as an adjunct instructor in the graduate OTD doctorate program at Salus University, where she obtained her Master of Science in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy.
Sokol-McKay, OT, is a co-author of the textbook Low Vision Rehabilitation: A Practical Guide for Occupational Therapists and contributing author of the updated version of the book Making Life More Livable. In addition, she published numerous peer-professional-reviewed and consumer-oriented articles in her areas of expertise.
