Philosophy:
Jacquie says: "As a naturopathic and functional medicine doctor, I believe in empowering people to be their own health advocate. I use a balanced, evidence-based approach that supports the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit as all aspects are important for health. I integrate the wisdom of traditional healing practices (like TCM, Ayurveda, etc.) with the advancements of modern science (specialized lab work, genetic testing, etc.) creating personalized strategies that address root causes rather than just managing symptoms.
Profound health is not one-size-fits-all, it’s actually a deeply individualized process shaped by genetics, lifestyle, and environment. I prioritize education in any area of my work as I’ve found information and practical tools empower people to make better choices more aligned with their highest health potentials.
As a writer and educator, I strive to break down complex topics into accessible and easy-to-understand information people can apply in their lives.
Ultimately, my philosophy reflects a dedication to authenticity, integrity, and a commitment to helping others cultivate long-lasting health and vitality by embracing their full potential, both in their bodies and in their lives.
Personal interests:
"My degree in psychology has given me a deep understanding of mental/emotional patterns, influences, and habits that shape how we live our lives. Pair this with my education and experience in science and medicine, and I have a well-rounded understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the body and mind. I’ve traveled the world, living in over 25 different countries, studied yoga in India, mindfulness in Indonesia and SE Asia, organic farming and gardening in Ireland, and so much more! I love nature and holistic living. I believe in practicing what I preach as much as possible."
Stance on current health issues:
Jacquie says: "Most pressing? I don’t think there is just one, but if I had to choose, it would be mental health. Mental health and mental states in general are the driving force behind physical behaviors/choices/patterns What we eat, how active we are, our self-talk, our sleep, our relationships, our communities, our politics, literally every aspect of our physical health and day to day lives is driven, at its root, by our mental/emotional states. This also relates to and extends itself to the rise of type 3 diabetes or dementia, which relates to the degradation of the brain and the mind. All aspects of health, wellness, longevity, and the life cycle can be connected to mental/emotional states".
