John Crimmins (PhD, MSc, PGdip Psychotherapy) is a Consultant Psychotherapist from Ireland with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has a PhD from the International Management School & Research Centre and is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin's Psychotherapy program. He is the Founder and Director of The Behavioural Training Institute. Humanism and Behavioral Psychology form the basis of John's Psychotherapeutic approach.
John completed his postgraduate studies in "The Psychodynamics of Groups & Organizations" from the University of West England in the United Kingdom. He has trained in Group Psychodynamics with the A.K. Rice Institute in Washington, USA and The Netherlands. He has also completed specialist training in Eating Disorder Treatment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Maudsley Hospital Eating Disorder Unit in London. He was the Senior Manager of MQI Heroin Residential Treatment Program. He is the founder and Clinical Director The Kildare Street Clinic Eating Disorder Service. He has extensive experience in Group work and has consulted with teams in large organizations, managed multidisciplinary teams in clinical settings, and facilitated a broad range of therapeutic Groupwork.
