Kate Bishop-Williams, MSc, PhD

Kate Bishop-Williams earned her Master of Science in Population Medicine and her Doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Guelph in 2014 and 2020, respectively. She is an epidemiologist at a rural public health unit in Ontario, Canada. Her expertise lies in epidemiology and research methods, climate change impacts on health, health equity and social determinants of health, global health,  and emerging diseases. Kate worked in public health throughout the pandemic, supporting all areas of the COVID-19 Pandemic response, including outbreaks, case management, and vaccines. Kate has published nearly 20 peer-reviewed articles and is the lead author of several governmental reports. Kate has spent years working as a science communicator and honing skills as a knowledge translation expert.
