Laura Bojarskaitė, PhD, is a Lithuanian neuroscientist based in Oslo. She earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Vilnius University, master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Copenhagen, and a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Oslo. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo.

Her research is all about sleep, brain waste clearance or "brainwashing" (removal of harmful molecules — biological trash — from the brain), and beautiful star-shaped cells of the brain called astrocytes. Her scientific research on sleep is published in high impact peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as Nature Communications and eLife. Laura is very passionate about science communication and making science more accessible to the general public.
