Laura Bojarskaitė, PhD

Laura Bojarskaitė earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Vilnius University, a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Copenhagen, and a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Oslo. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo.

Her research is about sleep, brain waste clearance or "brainwashing" (removing harmful molecules — biological trash — from the brain), and beautiful star-shaped brain cells called astrocytes. Bajorskaitė's scientific research on sleep is published in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as Nature Communications and eLife.
