Nigar received her medical degree with honors from Azerbaijan Medical University and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University. She also completed a certification program in Clinical Research (PPCR) at Harvard Medical School and later received a master’s degree in Clinical Research from Dresden International University.
Since graduation, she has continued with the PPCR program as a Teaching Assistant and holds several awards for teaching. Following her research activities at Yale University and Mayo Clinic, she joined Ph.D. degree training in Translational Oncology and Cancer Genetics at the University of Bergen. Her research focuses on genetics and precision therapy of frequent female cancers, including ovarian, uterine, and breast cancers, and she is an author/co-author of several publications in the field.
