Sharleen Lucas is a registered nurse who served at the hospital bedside for eight years with patients facing chronic illness, surgery, Covid-19, mental health crisis, trauma, and even death. As an emergency medical technician trained for wilderness rescue, she volunteers at her local fire station as a 911 first responder. She now enjoys combating her addiction to health news and research by passing it on as health writer. Prior to becoming an RN, she worked as a spiritual care minister with youth and families after studying theology at Whitworth University. She loves to write on topics where spiritual health meets physical health.
